From 2003 to 2010 I studied "geoscience informatics" with diploma certificate (ger.: "Diplom-Geoinformatik") at the Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg. During my studies I specialised in the fields geomodelling, geodata management, 3D-visualisation, virtual reality and numeric simulation.
In my diploma-thesis (2010) I developed methodes for immersive visualisation, interaction and analysis for geoscientific 3D modells.
After graduation I started my PhD-thesis "Synoptische Handhabung hochkomplexer Daten in interdisziplinaren Forschungsvorhaben" (eng: "Synoptic handling of highly complex data sets in interdisciplinary research") in Decenber 2010 at Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (Kiel University), Germany, in the workgroup "Geophysics and Geoinformation".
From 2010 to September 2013 I worked as research scientist in BMBF project "AIDA - From Airborn Data Inversion to In-Depth Analysis". Since March 2014 I am employed in DGMK projekt "TiPOT3D - Towards an integrative interpretation of potential fields and corresponding gradients by the aid of three-dimensional modelling and visualization."
My time in the workgroup "Geophysics and Geoinformation" ends on 30th of June, 2016. From 1st of July 2016 I am starting a new position at "Helmholtz Institut Freiberg for Resource Technology".

Synthetic 3D velocivty model of a salt dome called "SEG/EAGE salt model".
This data set is used for testing our new and improved methods and algorithms.
The velocity distribution is shown on 2 profiles in the button subfigures. The saltdome is displayed in the top as triangulated geometry.
The locations of both profiles are displayed as transparent polygons.

Meshsimplification for efficiant forward modeling of the potential field effect for a triangulated model. The animation displays the difference in gravity effect (bottom right) from the intial effect (top right) for decreasing numbers of triangles in the model geometry (left).
The gravity is calculated at station positions marked by red dots.
